As a part of the annual celebration, each year the Shelby American Collection produces a new poster showing a great moment in Shelby American history. Create a great Shelby artwork collection of your own with these beautiful posters. Be sure to come back each December to see the next in the series! All proceeds go towards the continued operations of the museum and for maintaining and expanding the collection. Daytona Debut
1964 Daytona Continental 2000KM race- the racing debut of the Daytona coupe prototype CSX2287. Bill Neale's " Famous Five"
The 11th Anniversary Poster is a Bill Neale Original depicting 5 of The Shelby American Collections greatest cars. The Ken Miles USRRC Champ CSX2431 Cobra, the J7 GT40 that set the fastest lap of 1967 24Hrs of LeMans, the first GT350 #5R002 "Flying Mustang" driven by Ken Miles, 1964 LeMans GT Champ CSX2299 Daytona Coupe, and the CSX3032 427 SC raced by Bill Murray that recently set the fastest lap ever in a Cobra of Road America.

Clean Sweep at Le Mans
The 10th Anniversary of the Shelby American Collection marks the 40th Anniversary of Ford?s clean sweep at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans with its 427-powered GT40 Mk II cars. Ken Miles and Denny Hulme piloted GT40 - 1015 to 2nd place overall while GT40 - 1046 driven by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon won the race with Ronnie Bucknam and Dick Hutcherson capturing 3rd in GT40 - 1016.

Ken Miles P103 1966 Sebring
Ken Miles pilots GT40 P103 during the 1966 12 Hour Sebring race along with Bruce McLaren for a 1st in class and 2nd place overall finish. Preceding this race P103 was driven by Ken Miles & Lloyd Ruby for an outright win at the Daytona Continental.

P103 was the first GT40 to be raced by Shelby American and the first GT40 to finish or win any race.

RAC Tourist Trophy, Dulton Park May 1st 1966. Alan Mann applies tape to seal the door on FIA Cobra csa2345 driven by Sir John Whitmore who finished 1st in GT class. The "Flying Mustang". February 14, 1965, Green Valley Raceway, Texas - the "Hawk", Ken Miles flies GT 350 SFM5R-002 for a racing photo that became famous as a P.R. photo for Shelby American and helped establish the prominence of the Shelby GT 350 among enthusiasts. The original GT 350 prototype and development platform or "mule", 5R-002 amassed an impressive record of wins during its tenure as a Shelby American team car. In 1989, 5R-002 was found near Monterrey, Mexico where it had been stored in an open-air shed for 16 years. The permanent home of this most significant of all GT 350s is in the Shelby American Collection in Boulder, Colorado. 24inx18in

On the grid at the 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans

The Shelby American and Holman & Moody prepared GT40s on the grid at Le Mans on June 10, 1967.

Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt placed 1st overall driving GT40 Mk IV J-5, car number 1. Other GT40s in the photo include: GT40 Mk IV J-6, car number 2, driven by Bruce McLaren & Mark Donohue - finished 4th; GT40 Mk IIB 1047, car number 57, driven by Ronnie Bucknum & Paul Hawkins; GT40 Mk IV J-7, car number 3, driven by Mario Andretti & Lucien Bianchi - shared the lap record of 3 min 26.6 sec with J-8; GT40 Mk IV J-8, car number 4, driven by Lloyd Ruby & Denis Hulme; GT40 Mk IIB 1031, car number 5, driven by Frank Gardner & Roger McCluskey; GT40 Mk II 1015, car number 6, driven by Jo Schlesser & Guy Ligier.
