Recieved at Shelby American on June 25, 1965, SFM5S542 was finished on July 2, 1965 and shipped to
High Performance Motors in Los Angeles, California. Originally purchased by Lee Johnson, SFM5S542 was
sold to Carlton Wells in 1974. Carlton replaced the original steel wheels with 67 Shelby aluminum wheels in 1980. SFM5S452
was then driven in SCCA class B Solo regional championships in 1975 & 1976 and was raced at Steamboat Springs Vintage Races
in 1984.
