Owner: Larry Miller/Tom Mabey
"After less than one year's design and development, the Fort GT is ready to go racing.

The fastest Ford ever built - it reflects the internationalism of the company.

It was designed in the United States, developed and built in Britain, tested in Italy and it will make its racing debut in Germany. It's capable of speeds up to 200 m.p.h.

Only 40 inches high and 13 feet long the Ford GT is of steel monocoque construction with fiberglass outer panels in the doors, the body ends and the dash board. It is independently sprung on all four wheels and the Ford 4.2 liter 350 BHP Indianapolis engine is mounted amidships directly behind the driver. The Colotti type 37 4 speed gearbox and final drive transmits the colossal power of this V8 to the rear wheels while 11 1/2 inch disc brakes are used on all four wheels."
