The "Ken Miles" Car
Owner: Tom Benjamin
Restored By: Murray Racing
This car was raced exclusively by Ken Miles except for the 4/65 Pensacola USRRC. It was used as the development car for the 1964-65 Cobra team cars including the Daytona Coupes. Miles did constant testing and modifying of the car into the 1965 season. Developments and modifications including helm joint a-arms, sway bars, springs final 289 Weber manifold set-up were all first done on CSX2431. The car always carried the BRDC (British Racing Drivers Club) crest on the center of each door.

The 1997 vintage race season proved the durable appeal of this justly famous racecar. Tom and Karen were invited to bring CSX2431 to England to participate in teh prestigious Goodwood Vintage Races, where the car was featured as one of the significant cars celebrating the achievements of Carroll Shelby and the Shelby American team and drivers. Tom also drove CSX2431 to a memorable 3rd place finish in the 1997 Monterey Historic Races, where the car was also honored with a rare invitation to be exhibited at the Pebble Beach Concours de Elegance. The "e;Miles"e; car continues to be recognized as one of the handfull of the most significant Cobras of all time.
