Owners: Eric and Carrie Johnson of Firestone, Colorado

1967 was the first year of production for the big block Shelby Mustang. The first 99 production cars were all G.T.350s. This car, serial number 67411F-0100-ENG., is the very first production G.T.500 fastback manufactured by Shelby American. It was assigned to the Engineering Department and was used as a public relations vehicle. It was features in road test articles in the February 1967 issue of Car and Driver, the February 1967 issue of Road and Track, and the March 1967 issue of Sports Car Graphic where it was driven by Jerry Titus. The car made the move from California to Michigan when Shelby production was relocated in the fall of 1967. It remained assigned to the Shelby Automotive Engineering Department as late as January 24, 1969.

The car was purchased in December of 1979 by sixteen year old Eric Johnson with assistance provided by his wonderful parents , Frank and Patricia Johnson.
